Sulfhydryl reactive Maleimide (MAL) functionalized cyclooctyne derivative(DBCO) is a hererobifunctional linker for incorporation of the cyclooctyne moiety into amine sulfhydryl compounds or biomolecules. DBCO is commonly used for copper-free Click Chemistry reactions. The PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media and provides a long and flexible connection that minimizes steric hindrance involved with ligation.
